I’m just saying…

I’m just saying that it was easy for me to like Lacey before. It’s easy to like someone from a distance. But when she stopped being this amazing unattainable thing or whatever, and started being, like, just a regular girl … Continue reading

Every day by David Lethan.

Imagine.

You’re quietly reading a book. Unaware of the things that surround you. When a certain line just hits you right through. You see yourself as another being. Far apart from the girl in a pony tail looking very serious as she reads her book.

You start to hear a familiar sound. It’s music. Probably something you’ve never heard of before but something makes the song feel calm, sincere. Different.
It feels like Love.

And you return back to yourself and read those lines over and over again. Nothing seems to have changed. Except for the fact you can hear the song inside your head.

Press Play.
and Read.

—-“How did you know it was me?” I have to ask.
“The way you looked at me,” she says. “It couldn’t have been anyone else.”

This is what love does: It makes you want to rewrite the world. It makes you want to choose characters, build the scenery, guide the plot. The person you love sits across from you, and you want to do everything in your power to make it possible, endlessly possible. And when it’s just the two of you, alone in a room, you can pretend that this is how it is, this is how it will be. —-

It’s only a few times you encounter a song so beautiful, so different from the rest that it sticks with you and now all you want is to share it with the rest of the world, to those seeking for the great perhaps, to those who have failed and are scared to try again and to those who feel lost and still searching for what seems to be missing…

Love.
That’s what inspires me the most.

Hold on to it.
